What will the experience be like, I have not been to a conference before?

Yom Chadash stands out as the premier conference for networking, learning, and support tailored specifically for Jewish Educators. Not only will you gain access to top-tier educational opportunities directly aligned with your professional needs, but you’ll also have the chance to connect with over 250 peers who share your experiences and understand the challenges you face.

Recognizing the unique nature of your role, we understand the vital importance of tapping into the collective knowledge and experience of fellow educators who empathize with your journey. 

As a first-time attendee, you’ll be paired with a dedicated “Conference Buddy” who will serve as your guide, ensuring you make the most of your time at the conference. Additionally, you’ll be warmly welcomed to a First Timer Lunch, designed to help you feel at home and kick off the conference experience with ease.

Membership in the ARJE or ECE-RJ is not required to attend the conference.

What do the registration fees include?

Registration includes all conference programming from mid-day Wednesday, January 22 through mid-day Saturday, January 25, Dinner on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Saturday lunch, and conference treats. Detailed information can be found here.

Is there financial assistance?

There is an early bird discount of $100 if you register by August 15 and an option to receive an additional subsidy (total of $200 off registration) for members of ARJE or ECE-RJ who need more assistance. Scholarships are also available from ARJE and ECE-RJ for members

What methods of payment do you accept?

All registrations must be paid by credit card during the registration process

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Intent to withdraw must be completed through your confirmation email link. To transfer registration to another person (at any date) please contact, [email protected].

  • Withdrawal on or before 11/15/24 results in a refund of the full registration fee less an 18% administrative fee. 
  • Withdrawal between 11/16/2024 and 12/15/24 results in a refund of half of the conference registration fee.
  • NO REFUNDS will be issued after 12/15/2024.  
Can I bring a Guest? Is there a special Vateki ARJE Rate?

For those who are not registered attendees of the gathering or for Vatekei ARJE members,  and guests, you may purchase the full meal package for $275 which includes: (Coffee/snack breaks, Cocktail Hour, Thursday Dinner, Shabbat Dinner, Shabbat Brunch).

When should I plan to arrive and depart?

The event begins on Wednesday afternoon with a first-timer’s lunch followed by an opening program and wraps up on Saturday at 2:00 pm with a closing program. You’ll want to arrive in Chicago on Wednesday morning or midday and plan to depart after 3:30 pm on Saturday.

A preliminary schedule of events will be published on the conference website when registration opens in June. The schedule page will be updated regularly to provide the most up-to-date information as the conference planning team continues to confirm presenters and finalize the event details.

How far away from the airport is the hotel?

Chicago O’Hare International Airport is approximately 17 miles to/from the hotel. Chicago Midway International Airport is approximately 25 to/from the hotel. Attendees should plan to utilize a ride-sharing app like Uber and Lyft to schedule a ride to/from the airport. There are no airport shuttles provided through the hotel.

Is there parking at the hotel? What is the cost?

The current daily parking rate for local attendees is $20.00 per day. The current overnight valet parking rate is $33.00 per night for hotel guests. Keep in mind that these rates are subject to change. Please check with the hotel as it gets closer to the conference.
