We welcome YOU to be a part of the ECE-RJ Bridging the Distance Choir AND singing is NOT a requirement to participate (nor do you have to be attending the conference) everyone is welcome to participate!

  • Sing! (Audio only or Audio and Video)
  • Lip Sync! (Video only-no sound)
  • Share a photo of yourself, your classroom, or even a piece of artwork that represents the theme of the conference: Listen, Learn, Act: Lishmoa, Lilmod, Lif’ol (Photos or short videos to be incorporated into the video-see last year’s video)

Shawn Fogel

Shawn Fogel is the Music Specialist for Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange, NJ.

He is the music teacher and song leader for the Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education and the Linda and Rudy Slucker Religious School, and frequently accompanies the clergy on guitar for Shabbat and holiday worship. Shawn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, where he studied music. He was the professional song leader for NFTY’s Garden Empire Region for over ten years, and also performs with Jewish rock bands The Macaroons and The LeeVees.
